What you’ll be doing
As a Senior IT Consultant, you will be working in partnerships with clients, advising them on how to use information technology to meet their business objectives or overcome problems.
This position requires travel to customer sites across the UK (and potentially beyond). As such, the successful candidate must be fully prepared to spend time away from home during weekdays, and occasionally weekends, depending on project demands and client location. Flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to represent the company to a high standard while on client premises are essential.
· Work closely with clients to capture requirements, define project scope, establish deliverables, and determine the resources and timescales needed to successfully complete each engagement.
· Lead the implementation of IT projects, delivering solutions either on‑site or remotely depending on customer needs and project demands.
· Travel to customer locations as required to carry out assessments, deployments, and consultancy work.
· Liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including technical and non‑technical staff within client organisations, as well as collaborating closely with internal teams such as Sales and Project Management.
· Operate autonomously in a hands‑on capacity, taking ownership of tasks, ensuring high‑quality delivery, and maintaining professionalism while working independently.
The skills you’ll need
We are looking for a high‑calibre technical all‑rounder so someone with broad, hands‑on experience across multiple IT disciplines, who is confident delivering customer projects both remotely and onsite. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical depth, versatility, and excellent customer‑facing skills.
· Superb communication and interpersonal skills – you will be working directly with clients, alongside our team of consultants, or embedded within a client team
· Designing and implementing solutions in Microsoft Azure
· Deploying, configuring, and managing Microsoft Intune
· Migrating organisations to Microsoft 365, including tenant‑to‑tenant migrations
· Using Microsoft and third‑party migration tools such as BitTitan
· Working with VMware or Microsoft Hyper‑V (ideally both)
· Troubleshooting and resolving issues across Microsoft operating systems
· Working confidently with a broad range of IT hardware, including servers, storage, switches, and firewalls
· Applying solid networking knowledge across switches, firewalls, TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing
· Configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting server and storage technologies
· Installing, configuring, and administering Microsoft Windows Server environments
· Working with backup and recovery technologies, including modern backup platforms and best‑practice data protection approaches
· Scoping, designing, and implementing end‑to‑end IT solutions
· Working comfortably onsite or remotely via calls, video meetings, and email
